After celebrating their romantic ocean-side engagement, Jeff and Mary Beth decided to bring a little bit of the beach with them to their Parkville, Mo. wedding this past April! Their beach inspired wedding was the perfect example of how to bring coastal elements to the Midwest in a tasteful, appropriate way.
These two kept it traditional and did not see each other before the ceremony. Mary’s charming father proudly walked her down the aisle to Jeff and a beautiful ceremony at St. Therese was witnessed by friends and family. After the ceremony, the bridal party boarded a limo coach from the Overland fleet and took some photos around downtown Parkville before heading to the reception.
To keep the beach inspiration in focus, a few tropical blooms were featured in the bouquets.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Olde Mill Emporium in downtown Parkville. All three levels of the charming, rustic building became filled with family and friends. The reception décor combined a slightly eclectic mix of various medicine bottles, vintage vases, galvanized lanterns, and other pieces from CE’s collection. The rest of the pieces on display were from the bride’s own collection, or rented from Momentarily Yours and Lauren Michelle Vintage Rentals. The different décor pieces, the use of wood and sand, the variation of blues, and the white floral all tied back into Jeff and Mary Beth’s dreamy, ocean-side beginnings.
These beautiful, gray washed wooden pedestals were created especially for this occasion to anchor the mix of decor on both round and family style tables. They have transitioned from this beach inspired wedding to the CE decor collection and are now used by other CE clients in numerous ways!
The newlyweds spent the evening enjoying great food and drinks, catching up with guests, sentimental toasts shared by loved ones, and dancing the night away. Guests loved their elegant first dance, as instructed by Best of All Dance.
We had such a great time planning and designing with this sweet couple! Even though Jeff and Mary Beth couldn’t bring the actual ocean with them to Missouri, they were still able to re-create the beauty of their engagement with beach inspired wedding decor and special touches that resulted in a beautiful celebration for all.
Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who made this magical day possible!
